Harry Potter.

I have created this video myself using Windows Movie Maker. It shows all of the film posters from the Harry Potter series and teaser posters from the final film with some facts from it.

Marketing
Marketing is a key part of the Harry Potter series. Marketing helps attract the attention of it's audience by using trailers, merchandise and even theme parks in Orlando.

The trailer for Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows 2 has been shown on plenty of TV channels. This attracts attention to the film as it is placed inbetween shows that get high ratings for example, Celebrity Big Brother (C5), The Chase (ITV) Holiday Showdown (ITV2), X-Factor (ITV) This provides the nation with the knowledge that the new Harry Potter film is out and available to see in cinemas now.

Also, ITV have shown 5 of the Harry Potter films on a Saturday evening at around 17:00 or after. This builds up for attention and attraction of the final film. The films are shown usually when families may be indoors having their dinner or coming home from their activities during the day. This is effective as it shows that Harry Potter is a family series and something that the whole family can share together.

Merchandise also makes the audience feel like they are a part of the wizarding world. Wands and sweets featured in the films (for example, chocolate frogs) have also been created which raises awareness and popularity of the final film.

In Orlando, Florida, there is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park. This is where Harry Potter fanatics can come and  the fictional Hogwarts and Hogsmeade is a reality. There is a Hogwarts and plenty of rides so the visitors can enjoy themselves all day, there is also the pub in Hogsmeade, which is the Hogs Head Pub, where older Harry Potter fans can join in the Harry Potter fun in the pub. The use of the pub shows that Harry Potter is for all ages.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows Part 2 also took a step forward in technology as it is the first Harry Potter film to be in 3D. Warner Brothers converged with the 3D technology to produce the first 3D Harry Potter movie.
